Combining a strong classical background with modern techniques, Tyler Hardwick is a devoted guitarist with over 18 years of experience in music composition, production, and performance. He is extremely versatile and skilled in covering many styles including: Modern and Classic Rock, American and Gypsy Jazz, Acoustic Fingerstyle, Hawaiian Slack Key, North Indian Classical, and other Global Music.
Hardwick is influenced by a wide range of legendary masters from Debussy to
The Beatles and has entertained crowds with his lush and vibrant sound at
notable venues such as The House of Blues, The Belly Up Tavern, 4th & B, The Ventura
Theatre and San Diego Street Scene. Currently, he can be seen performing with
jazz quartet Boogaloo Boys and electronic rockers Molecube.
Through his recording studio Outer Music, Hardwick offers original music
production and composition for television, film and other multimedia, as well as
recording, production, and mixing services. Past and current clients have included bands and
solo artists such as: The Mess, Steve Mendoza y Los Guys, Sweet Ever After,
Leanne St. John, Sugar Free at Last, Operation Gypsyhawk, Government
Grown, and more.
Hardwick is a Southern California native who received his BA in Music from the
University of California at Santa Cruz and San Diego while performing in a
nationally touring rock group and producing several CDs of original music. In
addition to performing, he provides professional instruction in guitar, piano,
composition, and music theory.
